SENIOR ESTIMATOR - AUCKLAND

Kingstons are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our busy Auckland Office.  This is a Senior role that will have the successful candidate working with a team of smart and dedicated individuals, liasing with clients and working on a wide range of commercial and residential developments.

This will be a client facing role and we are looking for someone with great communication skills plus the ability to manage a team and manage the flow of work from initial client engagement through to completion of the job.

The successful candidate will join a well established and busy firm with a great track record for staff retention.  We offer a competitive salary package and a professional work environment.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

·         A professional and confident manner combined with great communication skills.

·         Management and leadership abilities.

·         +- 10 Years’ experience in a similar role (with New Zealand Experience)

·         A proven track record in Estimating and Cost Planning both pre and post Contract.

·         Accurate and efficient task handling abilities.

·         The ability to work under pressure and thrive on a challenge.

·         Able to take the lead as well as work in a team and take instruction when necessary.

·         Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities will include:

·         Liaising with the client and other construction professionals.

·         Managing the team and the flow of work from client engagement through to completion.

·         Project Contract Administration.

·         Tender and contract document preparation.

·         Financial reporting.

·         Estimating and cost planning of projects.

PROJECT MANAGER - HAMILTON

Kingstons Project Management Ltd has a strong reputation and national presence and is looking to expand their Hamilton team due to a high workload and in order to consistently deliver quality projects for their Clients.

The role is suited for an experienced, client-side Project Manager who is looking to help grow and develop the business and Kingstons brand in the greater Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions. You will be responsible for delivering high quality services and outcomes to a core group of clients delivering work on a diverse range of projects across the public and private sectors.

Responsibilities:

·         You will work closely with the region’s Director to grow our client base and new business.

·         Be responsible for your own work but also work with the Lead PM on major projects in the region.

·         Working closely with internal Quantity Surveying teams on complex issues within projects.

·         Managing the project programme, cost plan, and the relationship with all consultants.

·         Ensuring design specifications and overall Quality are being met during the construction process.

·         Monitoring overall Health & Safety during construction phase.

·         Building a strong relationship with your clients so they are confident in your ability to deliver on current and future work.

Profile:

As an ideal candidate for this position you should possess:

·         Consultancy or client-side project management experience.

·         Be able to apply an understanding of construction/engineering project management principles to solve complex problems.  

·         Manage a client project portfolio ranging in value from $1mil - $40mil.

·         Ensure work programmes are delivered to client expectations, time-frames and specifications.  

·         Be capable of managing multiple projects at the same time.  

·         Help manage a number of projects from beginning to end, including the individual components of design management, tendering, contract administration, financial management, project scheduling and risk management.

·         A relevant tertiary qualification in Construction/Project Management/Civil Engineering.

·         7 to 10 years' experience in managing construction projects.

·         Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a diverse team.

·         You will require strong administration skills and have excellent working knowledge of MS Project.  

·         Proven experience in writing and monitoring construction programmes.

·         Experience in the delivery of large-scale commercial projects, land sub-division and residential housing and apartments projects would be an advantage.
